
Volunteer
Community Free Clinic (CFC) depends on the contribution of volunteers in a wide variety of roles. Volunteer Applications may be downloaded here and faxed to 256-309-5961.
Volunteers Needed:

Physicians and Nurse Practitioners to provide primary care
- Dentists to provide exams, fillings and extractions
- Medical students/ student interns to assist where needed while observing and learning
- Dental Assistants/dental assisting students to assist with exams, extractions, and x-rays
- Pharmacists to fill and distribute medications
- Pharmacy Technicians to assist pharmacists
- RN/LPN/nursing students to assist physicians and triage patients
- Lab Technicians to collect samples; and deliver to DMH lab
- Security Officers to provide waiting room and parking lot monitoring
- Counselors (licensed Counselors or Clergy) to provide counseling services for patients
- Hall Floaters to assist patients during visits and help where needed
- Meal Providers to provide a meal for 20 volunteers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings
- Clerical volunteers to provide reception and help with office work on a regular schedule
- Maintenance to help with routine maintenance of the building
- Patient Assistance to order medications for patients on a regular basis
- Patient Education to conduct a variety of wellness and self-help classes for patients
- Special Projects to help with special projects such as fundraisers, events, and mailings
- Screeners to meet with potential patients to determine eligibility on a regular basis
